Hello Everyone!
My name is Katie Nyquist and I am SO excited to be part of the Balfour GALACTIC program this year! I am currently going into my third year as an Undergraduate at Indiana University as an English major with a minor in Psychology and Educational Studies. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but decided relocate to Indiana after my father moved here. I am in love with creating art, especially painting. Next to reading, my favorite activities include traveling and eating! I am also very passionate about social justice, especially as it pertains to education.
Right now, my group is planning on focusing on issues of access, primarily access to food, water, safety, and education. For our art project, we plan on creating 4 different banners that focus on different issues of access both globally and in the Midwest! I am very open to thoughts, opinions and advice and am grateful to be working alongside such a passionate group of individuals!
